Terrible twos

Whoever called it "terrible twos" was correct. Preston is so fun and also such a stinker right now. He understand everything and is so smart. But whether or not he chooses to use that brain of his for good is a different thing. He tests the limits every day and is becoming very familiar with the time out blanket. Today he decided to take his monster truck and drive it in the fireplace, thus coloring his hand and his truck black. After getting a scolding and getting cleaned up, when I had my back turned, he took two spoons and dipped them in his yogurt and flicked them all over himself and the table. Once again, he got into trouble and was put in time out. As if that was not enough, he took his train and drove it in the fireplace and once again got all black. After getting washed off for a third time within half an hour, he was sent to his crib for a nap without any juice (he HAS to have juice to go to sleep). Even though he is a little stink pot, it is hard to stay mad at him with that cute little face looking up at me or when I hear him talking in his sleep saying random things. Preston is learning to use the "potty". He is still not completely comfortable with it yet, but is doing so much better than we ever could have imagined! Preston is really loving the pool now. We got him some floaties that I thought were way too big, but, they hold him up so well and he has learned to kick so he just spins himself in circles in the pool and won't let us touch him! Mikayla on the other hand is not so fond of the pool. With lots of time outside and in the pool this summer, we will hopefully change that!
