Twilight Criterium

We went with our friends James and Charise to watch the Twilight Criterium bike races in downtown Boise. It was fun to watch and amazing how fast they go, some up towards 30 mph. There were so many people racing! The kids would have loved watching all the bikes, but it was close to 100 degrees that day so we decided to leave them home and have a nice night out to ourselves! We enjoyed the races, grabbing a bite to eat taking in some Boise downtown culture, the company, and to top it all off, a scoop at Ben and Jerry's! Thanks for inviting us guys! We had a lot of fun!

MUD!

I think I have posted before about how we have a tree that collects all the water from the sprinklers and just holds the mud. Well, the kids, of course, love to play in it. They usually dig in it or put their feet in it, but this one day, Pres decided to roll in it, making sure no part of his body or underwear was showing (as soon as the kids start playing in the mud, I just give up and take their clothes off. What is more fun than cool mud in the hot summer?) and then proceeded to make sure Ma had a nice mud hairdo and that no part of her diaper was showing. Crazy kids. Let's just say Ma likes playing in the mud more than she does getting washed off by the hose outside! We thought that getting a little pool would take care of them playing in the mud. Well, we were WRONG!

Cheesy Ma

My silly little girl. She is getting so big!

Visitors!

My oldest sis and her family came to visit in between a family reunion they came up to Idaho for. It was so fun to see them! Now if we can only get the rest of the family to come visit (cough cough, hint, hint!). The kids had fun playing together and I enjoyed getting my baby fix by holding my new nephew!!

Summer Fun

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa G., we got a small pool for the kids to play in so we have been spending some good time outside. It has been nice to have to escape and put our feet in the water in this 100 degree weather we have been having. Although, 100 here and 100 in Texas feel very different. I have to admit I will take Boise heat over Texas heat. Now if I can just get the kids to keep the water IN the pool, and keep the mud OUT! I think I am going to lose that battle. We have had fun laying out, picking cattails and watching our tomato plant grow. It is still little and started looking a little sad, so hence the picture showing the plant in the distance :)

Utah, 4th of July

We were able to go visit my sister Leah and her family in Utah over the 4th of July weekend. She just had a new baby so it was fun to be there to see him and to be there for his blessing at church. I was able to see some of my cousins and Aunts and Uncle too while we were there. We were also able to go see Ryan's sister and her family. It was fun to see everyone and let the cousins all hang out together. Thanks for letting us visit!

PS My camera was not working so well that Sunday, so sorry about some of the fuzzy pictures!

First ponytail!

I put Ma's hair into a ponytail for the first time the other day. I realized she looks a lot like me! I didn't get a very good picture of her though so this is the best I could do. I thought she looked pretty cute!
